Slosh & Tosh was an early exhibition strand at Modern Painters, New Decorators, focused on painting and print-based practices, presented through paired exhibitions. Bringing together artists Pamela Clarkson and Atta Kwami, Jackie Berridge and Sam Francis Read, and Rufus Newell and Zoe Spowage, the strand created a space for dialogue between distinct but related approaches to making. Taking its cue from the language of making and doing, Slosh & Tosh leaned into the physical, process-driven aspects of painting and print.
