Modern Painters, New Decorators is an artist-led organisation based in Loughborough, East Midlands, UK, operating a purpose-built gallery, project space, artist studios, shop, and creative kitchen.

We believe artists play a vital role in shaping the places we live and the stories we share. Through exhibitions, workshops, events, and collaborative projects, we foster creativity, community, and long-term support for artists and ideas.

Exhibition:

Flat Earth by Phil Root

14th Mar – 13th June 2026

Gallery Space


Phil Root uses ceramic processes to explore the limits of traditional craft pottery. He works with foraged and industrial materials such as waste clay from his local brick factory to present stories about land and our place in it. Please note: the exhibition is closed 28th March – 8th April for spring break.
