Folk Threads

Folk Threads is a programme of artist-led activity, exhibitions and events exploring the relationships between people, place and ecology. Bringing together artists, partners and local communities, the programme draws on storytelling, folklore and lived experience to reflect on how environments are shaped, remembered and understood. It supports the development of new work that connects ecological thinking with shared narratives—linking past and present, local knowledge and global conversations. Across exhibitions, workshops and public events, Folk Threads creates space for experimentation, exchange and collaboration, building connections between artists, communities and organisations over time.
