Art Club
Modern Painters, New Decorators is an arts organisation based in Loughborough. We opened our brand new venue on Aumberry Gap on Saturday 6th September 2025. The space includes an art gallery, shop, project space, and studios for artists — and we can’t wait to welcome you in. As part of our exciting programme, we re-launched our Art Club — a creative workshop series for young people aged 11–16, running alongside our exhibitions.
At Art Club, we:
→ Engage with gallery exhibitions
→ Meet and work with contemporary artists
→ Explore a range of art processes, techniques and creative ideas
→ Explore transferable skills such as critical thinking, teamwork, communication, resilience and social & cultural literacy
→ Have fun!

Sessions are free to attend. Refreshments are provided, and we can support some travel expenses if required. Sessions run weekly, and members are expected to commit to attending the full block. We work with referral partners for most places on our Art Club programme, but we’re now accepting open applications for a limited number of spaces — allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. We’d love to hear from young artists and creatives who want to be part of something inspiring!
